γ-Aminobutyrate (GABA) Regulated Plant Defense: Mechanisms and Opportunities

چکیده

Global climate change and associated adverse abiotic biotic stress conditions affect plant growth development, agricultural sustainability in general. Abiotic stresses reduce respiration energy generation mitochondria, resulting the elevated production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are employed to transmit cellular signaling information response changing conditions. Excessive ROS accumulation can contribute cell damage death. Production non-protein amino acid γ-aminobutyrate (GABA) is also stimulated, partial restoration respiratory processes production. Accumulated GABA bind directly aluminum-activated malate transporter guard outward rectifying K+ channel, thereby improving drought hypoxia tolerance, respectively. Genetic manipulation metabolism receptors, respectively, reveal positive relationships between levels abiotic/biotic efflux from root heavy metal tolerance. The application exogenous with lower levels, enhanced membrane stability, changes non-enzymatic enzymatic antioxidants, crosstalk among phytohormones. Exogenous may be an effective sustainable tolerance strategy against multiple under field

Plant defense genes are regulated by ethylene.

One of the earliest detectable events during plant-pathogen interaction is a rapid increase in ethylene biosynthesis. This gaseous plant stress hormone may be a signal for plants to activate defense mechanisms against invading pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. The effect of ethylene on four plant genes involved in three separate plant defense response pathways was examined; these ...

Fungal manipulation of hormone-regulated plant defense

Fungi have adapted to diverse habitats and ecological niches, including the complex plant systems. Success of the pathogenic or symbiotic fungi in colonizing the plant tissue depends on their ability to modulate the host defense signaling [1]. Strategies that impart such abilities in fungi include the use of effector proteins that directly disrupt phytohormone-based defense signaling pathways a...

Investigating the Relationship between Defense Mechanisms and Coronavirus Anxiety

The prevalence of Covid- 19 has had various economic, social, and psychological consequences. The aim of this Research was to study the relationship between Corona Disease Anxiety and Defense Mechanisms in the southern region of the country. For this purpose, a sample including adult male and female evaluated online by Corona Disease Anxiety Scale (Alipour, 1398) and the ِdefense mechanisms (And...

The Venturia Apple Pathosystem: Pathogenicity Mechanisms and Plant Defense Responses

Venturia inaequalis is the causal agent of apple scab, a devastating disease of apple. We outline several unique features of this pathogen which are useful for molecular genetics studies intended to understand plant-pathogen interactions. The pathogenicity mechanisms of the pathogen and overview of apple defense responses, monogenic and polygenic resistance, and their utilization in scab resist...

Heavy Metal Stress and Some Mechanisms of Plant Defense Response

Unprecedented bioaccumulation and biomagnification of heavy metals (HMs) in the environment have become a dilemma for all living organisms including plants. HMs at toxic levels have the capability to interact with several vital cellular biomolecules such as nuclear proteins and DNA, leading to excessive augmentation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). This would inflict serious morphological, met...
